crop husbandry

The Ongole Dam Project is committed to sustainable agricultural practices, with crop husbandry playing a key role in ensuring food security and environmental stewardship. Our approach focuses on using modern farming techniques alongside traditional methods to maximize crop yield, promote soil health, and conserve water resources.

We work with local communities to cultivate a variety of crops, carefully selected to suit the region’s climate and soil conditions. Through training programs, we empower farmers with knowledge on pest control, irrigation management, crop rotation, and organic farming practices. By integrating these techniques, the project helps reduce environmental impact while improving productivity and livelihoods for smallholder farmers around Ongole Dam.
