About Us
The Ongole Dam Project is a community-driven initiative dedicated to transforming the potential of Ongole Dam into a thriving hub for sustainable agriculture and aquaculture. Our primary focus is on empowering the local community through modern practices such as cage fish farming, Cop Husbandry and livestock management. By providing hands-on training and resources, we aim to equip local farmers and residents with the knowledge to maximize the dam’s resources for food production and income generation.
At the heart of our project is a commitment to innovation and self-reliance. We introduce techniques like fish cage farming, where we train locals to rear fish using modern, eco-friendly methods and create their own fish feeds. Additionally, we teach farmers how to care for their livestock, prepare silage for the dry season, and adopt sustainable practices that improve their productivity.
Our mission is to improve food security, create economic opportunities, and promote sustainable development in the community surrounding Ongole Dam. We believe in empowering people with practical skills that lead to long-term growth and resilience.
