Ongole Dam Project's livestock initiative
During the dry season, when grass becomes scarce and dry, livestock face significant challenges in finding adequate nutrition. To address this, the Ongole Dam Project focuses on teaching local communities how to prepare silage, an effective way to store and preserve high-quality feed for their animals. We also provide training on essential livestock care, ensuring that farmers can maintain healthy and productive animals throughout the year, even in harsh conditions. Our goal is to empower people with the knowledge and skills to sustain their livestock and improve their livelihoods.
Program Focus Areas:
- Community Training
- Fish Feed Production Unit
- Organic Fertilizer from Fish Waste
- Livestock project
